I only started chainsaw carving in the fall of 2005.  I have learned a great deal in a short period of time.  I must have had a smidgen of suppressed artistic ability that I just discovered.

I try to use mainly white pine because it is lighter and easier to work with.  I will use other species of wood though.  The first question many people like to ask is, "how long did it take you to make that"?  Time is not a factor to me.   I never really time myself when I am carving.  I just try to produce the best artwork that I can.

To create the art I produce, I use the two-profile system and a combination of tools.  First, I use a chainsaw to create the form and for some of the detail.  I also use grinders, sanders, and other rotary tools to get the intricate detail I am looking for.  The two-profile system allows me to keep everything in proportion.

Keep checking back from time to time.  As I expand, I will be displaying more sculptures.  If you see something you like, call me or send me an email and I will give you a quote.  If you do not see something you like, send me an email or call and tell me what you are looking for and I will try to accommodate you.
