Hi, my name is Mike Murray. I am a chainsaw carver and I live in southeastern Pennsylvania. Welcome to "Chainsaw Evolutions". I first saw this art form many years ago at a local fair. I was amazed at the art that could be produced with a chainsaw. I now have the ability to create my own chainsaw sculptures and it still fascinates me! Chainsaw carving is perhaps one of the fastest growing art forms.

My very first chainsaw carving pictured below is a Pacific Chinook salmon. It is approximately 4 feet in length.  This carving was created out of white pine.

Carving at the "Ridgway Rendezvous" in Ridgway, PA 2008.  200+ carvers from around the world created art out of a log! I am carving a bear walking on all fours carrying a fish. (see completed carving in my Gallery )
